Prime Minister David Cameron is set to outline details of powers to be given to communities to buy the last pub in the village.

The announcement comes as part of a list of projects being championed, which include efforts to recruit volunteers to keep museums open and giving residents more power over council spending. Cameron previously said: “We will be passing a law to have a community right to buy — so if communities want to come together to save the last pub, the last post office or to take over that bit of derelict land or derelict building and enable social action that way.”
