Leisure opportunities nationwide
Graham Campbell Senior Surveyor, Fleurets London
Fleurets has recently been instructed by 3D Entertainment Ltd (3D) to market for sale 14 licensed businesses located nationwide. 3D was formed in January 2007 following their purchase of 98 businesses from Luminar Leisure plc.
The company has a turnover in excess of £100 million and has some 2,000 employees. Their portfolio includes Chicago Rock Cafe, Jumpin Jaks, Orange House and a number of unbranded nightclubs.
This group of premises comprise a mixture of businesses situated in High Street and leisure park locations, which historically have averaged, across the group, sales in excess of £21,000 per week net (2005 & 2006). Sales have since declined in many of these outlets due to a change of ownership and unfocused management. The package includes 8 Chicago Rock Cafes, 5 Jumpin Jaks nightclubs and 1 unbranded operation and these outlets form an ideal opportunity for a nightclub, leisure, bar or restaurant operator to acquire some prime licensed outlets.
Of the 14 properties initially marketed 2 have been withdrawn and are subject to a major refurbishment by 3D Entertainment Ltd with strong interest received in the remainder and a number are now under offer. Please turn to page 47 for details of those properties currently available.
