Founded in 1820, leisure property specialist Fleurets celebrate their 200th year in 2020.
Graeme Bunn, Managing Director at Fleurets, commented: "September 2019 saw us relocate our head office to 20-22 Bedford Row, London, a more open-plan collaborative workspace, which sets the tone for the beginning of our anniversary year. We are also delighted to announce our corporate social responsibility partnership with the Team Margot Foundation and are greatly looking forward to raising both money and more importantly awareness for this hugely worthy cause."
The charity, Team Margot, was set up by Yaser Martini, a former colleague and Director of Fleurets. Yaser's daughter, Margot, was diagnosed with an extremely rare form of blood cancer in October 2013 and required a bone marrow transplant (otherwise known as a stem cell transplant) to give her the best chances of survival. The Martini family set up Team Margot, which rather than focussing on a financial goal, appeals for every eligible individual, particularly those of mixed heritage, to register as a stem cell and bone marrow donor.
James Davies is leading Fleurets' corporate social responsibility initiative and commented: "Whilst our activities will include raising money, our focal objective is to raise awareness. It was sadly Margot's story that made us aware of this cause and I hope we can help many others in her position by encouraging more people to register as potential stem cell donors."
