The care sector is one of the most active and growing markets in the UK. In a market with an ageing demographic the demand for care already outstrips supply.

From single occupancy, supported living properties, through to elderly care via traditional care homes and evolving care village models, intrinsically linked to the NHS but with opportunities and challenges of its own, this is a diverse and exciting market.

The history of Fleurets, having been in business for over 200 years, and the addition of our healthcare division means you know you are in good hands. Our Healthcare team, with their market leading knowledge of care is ideally placed to assist investors, owners and operators in growing, diversifying and restructuring their portfolios. Having acted on behalf of some of the leading care providers and introduced significant new entrants to the market throughout their careers, we offer a tailored approach to each and every transaction. This is Fleurets Healthcare.

We'd be delighted to discuss how we might assist you.

Our work

What we can do

Fleurets provides advice on getting ready for sale to ensure you maximise your exit value. We appraise, market and manage sales and acquisitions from start to finish. We can also provide a bespoke service to target businesses who meet your acquisition criteria.

From selling mature trading businesses, to the sourcing of sites for new builds, Fleurets is ideally placed to help you achieve your aims. Two thirds of government social care spending is on elderly care and the ageing population means this trend is likely to continue as need increases.

In this highly nuanced part of the sector, Fleurets has the knowledge and experience to advise operators looking to exit or expand. With half of the government budget on social care spent in this sector and the continued growth of supported living, this part of the market continues to see substantial growth, mergers and acquisitions.

We identify and source land for care sector development for both residential care and supported living schemes, with key contacts in the industry. We have access to the most up to date planning information and can provide advice on current land prices based on real data.

Exit Strategy

Fleurets will always give you the best advice on how to maximise your exit value, be that by introducing you to key partners who can help with compliance issues, or help you find areas where you can improve efficiency. We're here to help you achieve your aims.

Mergers & Acquisitions

Fleurets can help you grow your business, through the merger or acquisition of likeminded businesses. We're proud to be a partner in your journey.

Magpie, Stapleford

A traditional community pub on a sizeable plot of just under an acre.  High level of interest with best and final bids exercise.  Sold at over the asking price to a regional operator for an 78 bed care home.

Shakespeare, Gateshead

Fleurets was instructed to sell this former public house.  The sale produced a high level of interest, resulting in seven offers.  The successful offer was 23% above the asking price   The building is to be repurposed as flats and a community centre.

Oak Tree Inn

The former Oak Tree Inn sat in a residential area, on a site of 0.6 acres, close to local amenities.  The new owner instigated a program of remodelling throughout and it now provides accommodation and care for children with disabilities and specialist care needs.  Care such as this is typically in smaller settings than elderly residential or nursing care, which allows for the repurposing of some pubs, restaurants and hotels.

Duke of York, Wakefield

This former pub occupying a prominent corner plot on 0.22 acres was marketed by our Leisure team.  The eventual end user is a specialist care group, who demolished the original building and constructed a 16 bed purpose built care home, specialising in the care of adults with learning disabilities.

Bellingham, Wigan

A traditional 32 bed hotel with bar and restaurant in a main road suburban location in Wigan was sold for private individuals to Wigan Borough Council for conversion to a Care use.
