JD Wetherspoon has announced the disposal of 20 town and city centre public houses. The portfolio comprises of 15 freehold properties and five leaseholds. The properties are available individually, as a small package or as an entire portfolio.

The Restaurant Group Plc dispose of 22 restaurants

The Restaurant Group Plc has announced plans to dispose of a further 22 restaurants. Spread across England, Wales and Scotland, the properties are available individually and are located in shopping centres, retail parks and also roadside locations.

Four Mitchell's of Lancaster pubs acquired by Punch

Punch has acquired four pubs from Mitchell's of Lancaster: Th'Owd Tithe Barn in Garstang, The William Mitchell in Morecambe, Royal Oak in Bolton on Sands as well as The Duke of Rothesay. Pub and Bar Magazine reports that Mitchell's of Lancaster, originally founded in 1871, fell into administration in 2018.

Arc Inspirations marks first Newcastle site with Banyan Bar & Kitchen

Arc Inspirations has opened Banyan Bar & Kitchen in Newcastle, marking their first operation in the city and the ninth Banyan to open in the north of England. Pub and Bar Magazine reports that the 10,000 sq ft site, previously occupied by Jamie's Italian, has undergone a £1.5m refurbishment.

Preet Tandi to open Japanese-Mexican fusion restaurant at Prested Hall

Preet Tandi, the chef behind the Soho Wala Indian street food restaurant in Soho's Courthouse hotel, is opening Colchester Kitchen, a Japanese-Mexican fusion restaurant, at the 16-bedroom Essex hotel Prested Hall. The Caterer reports that the 80-cover restaurant is due to open in August.
