Admiral Taverns looks to purchase 150 Heineken pubs

Admiral Taverns, backed by Proprium Capital and C&C Group, is closing in on deal to acquire a package of 150 Heineken UK pubs, which was placed on the market in July. Propel reports that the deal is supposedly valued at circa £50m and that the pubs are mainly former Punch sites.

The Lucky Onion to launch The Hollow Bottom

The Lucky Onion will launch its latest addition to the collection next month, reports Boutique Hotelier. The Hollow Bottom will join the five-strong collection of boutique hotels and country pubs in the Cotswolds.

Bao and Hoppers to open at London King's Cross

JKS Restaurants is planning to open a new Bao and Hoppers in London's King's Cross. Big Hospitality reports that the units are located within the Pancras Square development and a licensing application has been submitted to Camden Council. Bao presently has three sites, whilst Hoppers currently operates two.

Electric Shuffle launched by Flight Club founders

Creators of Flight Club, the social darts concept, have launched a shuffleboard concept, Electric Shuffle, reports The Morning Advertiser. The first site will open on the 29th November in Canary Wharf, London.

Six by Nico eyes Liverpool for next location

Six by Nico, chef Nico Simeone's restaurant concept, which made its England debut in Manchester earlier this year, is eyeing Liverpool for its next site. Propel reports that Six by Nico has applied to open on the former La Vina site in North John Street, Liverpool. Simeone operates sites in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Belfast and Manchester.

Alcotraz, the immersive prison-themed cocktail experience is set to launch two new sites. The first will open in Covent Garden as a three month pop-up from Friday 4th October, reports Pub and Bar Magazine. And from Thursday 24th October, a Brighton venue will open. The concept's original site opened in 2017 on Brick Lane.
