We have witnessed a turbulent 17 months, a period that has involved a series of lockdowns of varying severity, social distancing, limitations on travel/movement and extensive restrictions on trading across the leisure and hospitality sectors.
With the much anticipated 19th July 'freedom day' behind us, we hope we are on the pathway to normality, whatever normality might look like in the short, medium and long term. As you would expect, hotel owners have been reviewing their options for many months, reflecting on the impact Covid-19 has had on their hotel businesses and property interests, and looking forward to the recovery period ahead. We decided it would be interesting to capture and share their views in a more formal manner and we asked hotel owners for anonymous feedback in relation to a series of questions about their outlook for the next 12 months.
