The previous owner was thinking about selling but was nervous about the process, so their accountant suggested having a conversation with Fleurets. When the vendor requested a confidential sale, off market approaches were made to some retained clients and this generated some interest. A sale was eventually agreed and The Crown Inn was acquired by Red Oak Taverns in April 2023.

A substantial gastropub with 10 letting rooms and outside trade areas for 200+ in a country lane on the outskirts of Tonbridge, the Carpenters Arms was a well-run independently owned business benefitting from long term investment and improvement. It was identified as a suitable target and acquired for Young's in a confidential transaction through our long-standing relationship with the vendor.

Fleurets acted on behalf of A Curious Group of Hotels who acquired the south coast boutique hotel in June 2023. Being retained and therefore fully aware of their property requirements, Fleurets identified the Drakes Hotel as being a good match and made a discreet, off-market approach to the vendors, before eventually negotiating the purchase.

A very special destination freehold public house which has been in the owner's family for 100 years. As such confidentiality was paramount which was achieved by our client Young's PLC acquiring the property and within the owner's preferred timescale.

A huge 10,000 sq. ft. plus building which hadn't traded for a number of years therefore was in a state of disrepair. Fleurets acted on behalf of Star Pub Company and despite the condition, being located in such a prominent position, there was substantial interest and in excess of ten bids with the eventual purchaser being JD Wetherspoon.

Off market acquisition for our retained client The Coconut Tree. The transaction comprised the simultaneous surrender of the existing lease and agreeing a new lease with the landlord. This is The Coconut Tree's ninth site and Fleurets' sixth transaction with the company. The group's aim is to bring Sri Lankan food to the UK and have won numerous awards and accolades along the way. Fleurets continue to advise The Coconut Tree on their ongoing acquisition strategy.

Acting for Robinsons Brewery Fleurets successfully identified an acquisition opportunity and negotiated both the freehold investment purchase and later the leasehold business purchase.

The second venue secured for the rollout of the Cargo brand.  20,000 sq ft leisure premises at The Light, Leeds, formerly the Tiger Tiger unit, providing a bar at ground floor with two large club rooms at basement level.

Fleurets is appointed to acquire sites for Shoreditch Bar Group. This was the first acquisition which involved a 25,000 sq ft premises over 3 floors at the Printworks, Manchester. It is now operated as Cargo, a sister venue to world renowned Cargo in Shoreditch; a large bar with 3 club rooms. We have since acquired additional premises at the Printworks to be operated as Floripa.

This fabulous 16th century pub with six chic individually designed letting bedrooms occupies a prominent site in the centre of the affluent, desirable and historic East Sussex village of Ditchling. Acting on behalf of Young’s, we acquired this award winning pub in an off market and confidential transaction, having known the owner for a number of years.

Represented Hixon Green, the New York-style café and wine bargroup, in acquiring the former Aqua Restaurant in the south east market town Lewes.

Reporting directly to the founders, Fleurets has worked with The Coconut Tree on their national expansion and have been involved in the delivery of siz of their last seven restaurants, including the restaurants in Bath, Reading. and Birmingham The group continue to actively seek UK wide opportunities, with Fleurets acting on their behalf.

The Waverley (formerly the British Volunteer) was a long established public house. Whilst it worked as a “local boozer”, it was clear the business needed a redirection. Understood their requirements Fleurets acquired the property for Rare Breed Dining who have invested significant sums to create a very impressive and successful venue.

Fleurets acting on behalf Oakman Inns & Restaurants Ltd completed the acquisition of the historic Woburn Hotel in Bedfordshire, which is the centre piece of Woburn town centre. Peter Borg-Neal commented “It was a complex deal Fleurets were instrumental in finding an agreement that worked for all parties. We are delighted with the outcome and we believe that The Woburn Hotel will be a huge success for us.”

Simultaneous acquisition of freehold investment interest and the leasehold operational interest on behalf of Young's of the Tunbridge Wells Bar & Grill, which will reopen as the White Bear, its original name.

After discussing with Six by Nico their desire to take a high profile restaurant unit in Central London, Fleurets undertook a search of the general marketplace, exploring opportunities with landlords, their agents and operators. A number of sites were considered across the Capital with the ex-Zizzi site in Fitzrovia being selected.

An off market deal to purchase the freehold that involved a negotiation for the surrender of the lease which has allowed the operators to create an award winning pub environment.

Acting on behalf of the Coaching Inn Group Fleurets identified and negotiated the purchase of the lovely 31 bed Swan Hotel in the centre of Stafford.
