New London and Sussex sites for Brewhouse and Kitchen

Brewhouse and Kitchen has acquired two new sites, the first is a former cocktail bar in Hoxton, London; whilst the second, acquired through Fleurets, is a former Japanese restaurant in Horsham, West Sussex. As reported by Bar Magazine, Brewhouse and Kitchen has 19 existing sites, and the two new additions will undergo refurbishment programmes, opening respectively in mid July and early August.

Strong financial year for Oakman Inns

According to Pub and Bar Magazine, Oakman Inns has reported total sales of £28.3m from its food, drinks and rooms offering, reflecting a 22.2% growth. Furthermore, like-for-like growth was 6%, which can be partly attributed to two new site openings at the end of last year, which exceeded their targets.

Damian Wawrzyniak to open first London restaurant

Chef and restaurateur Damian Wawrzyniak is set to open his first London restaurant in Clapham, according to Propel Info. Wawrzyniak currently runs the House of Feasts in Peterborough. The London restaurant, Jan, will retain its name, however the operation and interiors will change, and is set to open in mid-June.

Marston's receives planning permission for Nottinghamshire hotel

Marston's has been granted planning permission by Broxtowe Borough Council for a newly built 39 bedroom hotel. As reported by Propel Info, the new hotel will be located on the land next to the Old Moor Lodge pub in Mornington Crescent.

Southampton Harry Ramsden's opens

Harry Ramsden's, the Boparan Restaurant Group-owned fish and chip chain, has opened its latest restaurant at WestQuay in Southampton. Propel Info reports that the new venue is located on the fourth floor dining area.

Springwood Lodge, a 13-bedroom guest house, close to Gatwick, is being marketed by Fleurets, reports Luxury B&B Magazine. The premises is being marketed for £1.25m and the Edwardian property features luxury Art Deco design throughout. The property also uniquely offers an electric car, used to transport guests to and from close by Gatwick airport.
