Brewdog reports financial increases

Brewdog has announced a 47% increase in EBITDA to £8.9m for the year ending 31st December 2017. The Morning Advertiser went on to report that UK specific revenue increased from £58.4m to £89.9m. Brewdog's total UK bar sales in 2017 amounted to £24m. According to Propel Info, BrewDog has also acquired Draft House, the 13-strong London-based craft beer offering.

Bedford Swan Hotel purchased by Distinct Group

The Bedford Swan Hotel has been purchased by the Distinct Group, increasing the company's hotel portfolio to two properties, according to The Caterer. The 113-bedroom, Grade II listed hotel was previously owned by BDL Select Hotels, and marketed off a guide price of £11.5m. Distinct Group sold four London pubs to Laine Pub Company in late 2017, emphasising the company's shift in focus from pubs to the hotel sector.

Maple bar and restaurant to open in Westfield this summer

ETM will launch Maple bar and restaurant this summer as part of Westfield's expansion plans, reports Pub and Bar. The new 170-cover venue will have a botanical theme, which is being designed by Russell Sage studio. Maple will take ETM's portfolio to 14 sites.

Flagship Flesh & Buns to open in Fitzrovia this summer

Restaurateur Ross Shonhan is set to open a new flagship Flesh & Buns restaurant in Fitzrovia in June this year, according to The Caterer. The 170-cover restaurant marks Flesh & Buns' second site, following the launch of their Covent Garden site in 2013. The venue will be located in 32 Berners Street in the Copyright building, developed by Derwent London.

Mr Mulligan's Lost World Golf to open in Milton Keynes

Adventure Leisure is opening its Mr Mulligan's Lost World Golf brand in Milton Keynes' Theatre District on 27th April. Marking the brand's tenth site, the venue will feature two golf courses as well as bar, restaurant and party room, according to Propel Info.

Dean Court Hotel in Bayswater has been sold by leisure property specialist Fleurets, off a guide price of £750,000. Boutique Hotelier reported that the hotel has been acquired by Mr Usman, a private multiple hotel operator. The 14-bedroom hotel will add to Mr Usman's expanding portfolio, which also includes Pasha Hotel on Camberwell Road as well as Hartley Hotel in Forest Gate.
