Three Cheers Pub Co opens second pub in Ei Group collaboration

London pub group, Three Cheers Pub Co is set to reopen The Bedford in Balham on the 29th November following renovations. Pub and Bar Magazine reports that this pub, grassroots music venue and comedy club marks the second opening for Six Cheers Ltd, its managed investment venture with Ei Group; and the ninth for Three Cheers Pub Co.

Southampton's Grand Harbour Hotel acquired by Fattal Hotel Group for £29m

Fattal Hotel Group, Israel's largest hospitality organization, has acquired the 173-bedroom Grand Harbour Hotel in Southampton. According to Boutique Hotelier, the hotel's leasehold was acquired from hotel operator and manager, Westmont for £29m. Following a rebrand the hotel will be operated by Jurys Inn and Leonardo Hotels UK and Ireland.

Charles Wells acquires four new sites for Pizza, Pots & Pints

The four acquisitions are all from The Orange Tree, an independent pub group; and include The Orange Tree in Nottingham, Leicester and Loughborough as well as Kelso's in Loughborough. Pub and Bar Magazine reports that Kelso's will continue to operate in its current form, whilst the Orange Tree pubs will also continue to trade until converting to Pizza, Pots & Pints in Spring 2019.

Salt Beer Factory opened in Saltaire

The Morning Advertiser reports that following a £1.7m investment, and three years in the making, the award-winning Ossett Brewery has opened Salt Beer Factory in Saltaire. The taproom sits in the very heart of the brewery so drinkers can observe the brewhouse around them.

Plans for Novotel hotel and aparthotel in Liverpool Paddington Village scheme

AccorHotels has been selected to open a new Novotel hotel and aparthotel in the council's £1bn Paddington Village scheme in Liverpool. The new £35m hotel development will include a 160-bedroom Novotel and 60-bedroom aparthotel, which will be operated by Legacy Hotels & Resorts. The Caterer reports that, subject to planning approval, the hotel will undergo construction in summer 2019 and is expected to complete in 2021.
