26 Milton Pubs and Taverns on the market

Fleurets has been instructed by real estate investment firm Aprirose to market 26 Milton Pubs and Taverns sites, reports Propel. The pubs, situated across England and Wales, are available individually or as a package, with the majority being marketed with either a freehold or long leasehold tenure.

Ivy Collection launches in Canary Wharf

The Ivy Collection has launched The Ivy In The Park overlooking Canada Square in Canary Wharf. Propel reports that The Ivy, having opened their first site outside of the UK, in Dublin, in July, is planning further launches for Norwich and Winchester.

IHG announces 70% increase in rooms

The Caterer has reported that InterContinental Hotels Group opened 19,000 rooms in the third quarter of this year, having signed for 27,000. This marks a 70% increase year-on-year. The acquisition of 51% of Regent Hotels & Resorts added 2,000 rooms and the purchase of the Principal brand, which occurred earlier this year, added 1,700 rooms. Furthermore, IHG's global RevPar increased by 1% in Q3 this year, whilst UK RevPar increased by 1.1%.

Banyan Bar & Kitchen set for Newcastle

Arc Inspirations, the operator of The Box, Banyan Bar & Kitchen as well as Manahatta, has acquired a former Jamie's Italian site in Newcastle, expanding its Banyan Bar & Kitchen concept into the north east of England. Pub and Bar Magazine reports that Arc Inspirations will be investing £1.5m into this first north east venture, which joins six bars in West Yorkshire as well as two in Manchester; with Arc Inspirations' total estate amounting to 19 bars.

The Stratford hotel to open in East London in Spring 2019

Boutique Hotelier has reported that The Stratford is due to open in Spring 2019 in the new Manhattan Loft Gardens skyscraper in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. The hotel opening forms part of a project led by Manhattan Loft Corporation, a company formed by Harry Handelsman, who restored St Pancras Hotel and Chiltern Firehouse. The 42 storey building has been created by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, for which The Stratford will offer 145 bedrooms and suites across six floors, designed by SPACE Copenhagen. The building will also feature two restaurants: Allegra, from the former head chef of Chiltern Firehouse, Patrick Powell as well as The Stratford Brassier, headed up by Ben Harrington from the Soho House Group.

Darwin Escapes, the fourth-largest holiday park operator in the UK, operating 22 holiday parks, has announced plans to open a multi-million pound site near King's Lynn in Norfolk. According to Propel, Norfolk Woods Resort & Spa in Pentney will provide 80 self-catered letting lodges.
