Cock 'N' Bull set to open second site

Cock 'N' Bull, a chicken and burger concept, founded by former TRG directors Jason Green and David Salmon, is set to open their second restaurant in Mere Green, Sutton Coldfield. The concept's first unit is located in Stourbridge, having opened in September 2017 reports Propel. Fleurets acted on behalf of the vendor and the new restaurant is due to open at the end of April.

PubLove to open three London pubs with Ei Group

PubLove pub company has announced plans to open three London pubs, having entered a joint partnership with Ei Group's Managed Investments in 2017. The pubs are the White Ferry House in Victoria which will open this week, whilst the Rose & Crown near London Bridge will open in May and the Steam Engine in Waterloo in June. The Morning Advertiser reports that PubLove sites offer backpacker hostels on their upper floors as well as a craft burger offering. PubLove's chief executive and founder Ben Stackhouse has announced that the company is seeking potential new sites.

NoMad hotel to open in former magistrate's court

The former Bow Street Magistrates' Court in Covent Garden, London, is to be converted into a 91-bedroom NoMad hotel by Investment firm BTC UK and Sydell Group. The Caterer reports that the hotel, due to open in summer 2020, marks the first NoMad hotel outside of the US. Built in 1881, Bow Street Magistrate's Court is a grade II listed building which closed in 2006, made famous by hosting defendants such as Pete Doherty, Jeffrey Archer and the Kray twins.

Shaun Presland to open first solo venture in Soho

Shaun Presland, Australian chef and former executive chef of Japanese Sake restaurant group in Australia, has announced his return to the UK to open a new Soho restaurant. The Caterer reports that the new restaurant will mark Presland's first solo venture. Pacific will occupy 8-10 Lower James Street in Soho, a site formerly occupied by Foxlow, and will open later this year.

Rosa's Thai Café marks second regional location

Rosa's Thai Café is set to open its 17th restaurant in Leeds' Trinity shopping centre on the 4th May reports Big Hospitality. The 140-cover restaurant opening marks the brand's second regional location outside of London, having opened in Liverpool in February.

And Finally...

Vinoteca is set to open its first regional site, reports Big Hospitality. The new bar and restaurant will launch in Birmingham's Paradise development in the city centre, taking a 3,390 sq ft unit, and opening early next year. Vinoteca currently operates five units across London.
