Oakman Inns acquires the Three Locks and founds new trading division

Oakman Inns has acquired the Three Locks in Stoke Hammond, intended for their new trading division, Ashmore Inns. The transaction was brokered by Tom Cormie of Fleurets on behalf of Aspley Pub Company Ltd.

150 Star Pubs & Bars sites acquired by Admiral Taverns

150 tenanted community pubs has been bought by Admiral Taverns from Star Pubs & Bars, reports Pub and Bar Magazine. Admiral Taverns' portfolio is now approximately 950 wet-led pubs across England, Scotland and Wales.

Rosa's Thai Café to open in Manchester

Rosa's Thai Café will open a Manchester restaurant in 2020, reports Big Hospitality. Marking the brand's third regional location, the Deansgate site was previously occupied by Handmade Burger Co. and will have 60 covers. With openings in Leeds and Liverpool earlier this year, Rosa's Thai Café continues to expand regionally, whilst also continuing to grow its London estate, with a Clapham restaurant opening in November.

Bath Pub Company reports strong trading results

Bath Pub Company, founded in 2006 and owner of The Locksbrook Inn, The Hare & Hounds, The Chequers and The Marlborough Tavern, has reported a like-for-like sales increase of 7.2% for the year ending 31st March 2019. Pub and Bar Magazine further reports that the company's EBITDA also increased by 158% to £220,000, from £85,000 the previous year. Bath Pub Company plans to open another Bath site early on in 2020 as part of a planned expansion programme.

Jollibee expands regionally with Liverpool opening

Jollibee, the Filipino fast food chain, is set to open its second UK site in Liverpool, reports Big Hospitality. This opening also marks the beginning of Jollibee's regional expansion. The brand's first UK site opened in Earls Court last year and plans to launch further sites in Manchester and Birmingham.

Selina, described as 'The Digital Nomad Hotel Of The Future' by Forbes, has secured funding worth £80m from property investment company Cogress to finance its European expansion. Boutique Hotelier reports that the brand, which has already launched hotels in both Manchester and Birmingham, will continue to expand into the UK as well as Portugal.
