Ladhar Group acquires Sir John Fitzgerald
North east-based Ladhar Group has acquired Sir John Fitzgerald, the Newcastle-based pub operator, in a multimillion-pound deal, according to Business Live. The Sir John Fitzgerald estate consists of 16 pubs, also across the North East. The Ladhar Group has interests in the care, property and leisure sectors.
Cain International acquires Prezzo
According to the Financial Times Cain International, the privately held investment firm, has acquired the Karen Jones-led Prezzo as a going concern. "We firmly believe that strong hospitality and leisure brands with disciplined leadership will thrive in a post-Covid landscape," said Jonathan Goldstein, chief executive of Cain.
Robinsons Holidays sold to Daish's Holidays
Daish's Holidays has completed the acquisition of Lancashire based Robinsons Holidays, expanding its portfolio to 12 hotels as part of strategic growth in the north of England. The group has taken on the Imperial hotel in Eastbourne and the Abbey Lawn hotel in Torquay (pictured), as well as a fleet of 13 coaches that will operate from a range of pick-up locations in the north west, claims The Caterer.
CitizenM to open fifth London hotel in £1.3bn redevelopment of London Olympia
CitizenM will open its fifth hotel in the capital, at London Olympia exhibition centre, as part of a £1.3bn redevelopment. The 145-bedroom hotel, which promises luxury accommodation in a prime urban area at affordable prices, according to Hotel Designs.
Restaurant chain Leon serves up two-year restructuring to creditors
Natural fast food brand Leon has set out its restructuring plan, which includes a multimillion-pound investment from shareholders to secure its future. Sky News reports details of the group's company voluntary arrangement (CVA) proposals have been circulated to landlords and lenders. The move will see the majority of Leon's 60 outlets switch to turnover-based rents.
Greene King tied tenants to continue to receive 90% rent concessions in tiers two and three
Greene King Pub Partners has confirmed that all tied tenants in tiers 2 and 3, the tougher restrictions, will receive a 90 per cent rent concession from December 2. Meanwhile, tied tenants in Tier 1 areas will receive a 40 per cent rent concession. Greene King's financial support for its tenants stands at £25 million, said a spokesman, reported the Derby Telegraph.
Black Country Ales secures 40th pub
Dudley-based brewer Black Country Ales has acquired The Railway Tavern in Newport, Shropshire, its 40th pub. Managing director Angus McMeeking said "It will be a pub with no gimmicks - just good beer and a good choice of beer.", advise the Morning Advertiser.

Westminster City Council has announced it has extended its al fresco dining scheme in central London for another six months, claim Harpers.

Langan's Brasserie, the London-based restaurant once co-owned by the actor Michael Caine and famed as a 1980s celebrity haunt, is to be relaunched next autumn after being acquired out of administration by a group of high-net-worth individuals, which is thought to include entrepreneur Peter Dubens of Oakley Capital. Catering Today report that it will be operated by restaurateurs Graziano Arricale and James Hitchen.
