Leisure property specialist Fleurets has been instructed to market the freehold interest in Masons Yard 24, a well-known brasserie and bar in the heart of Kendal, one of Cumbria's most popular market towns and widely regarded as the gateway to the Lake District.
Located less than a mile from the Lake District National Park, the venue benefits from a strong mix of local trade and year-round tourism, with thousands of visitors passing through Kendal on their way to the Lakes each year.
Masons Yard 24 occupies a prominent town centre position and offers a front bar, dining space for around 50 covers, a modern and well-equipped commercial kitchen, and an attractive beer patio and courtyard. The property also includes substantial upper floor accommodation which could present future development opportunities, subject to the necessary consents.
The venue has established itself as a popular destination within the town, although the kitchen ceased trading in 2022 following changes in the owner's personal circumstances. This leaves an incoming operator with the opportunity to reintroduce food and build on the strong foundations already in place.
Tim Martin, Divisional Director at Fleurets North West, commented: "Masons Yard 24 is a great opportunity for someone looking to take on a well-presented venue in a prime Kendal location. The foundations are already in place, and with the reintroduction of a food offering there's clear scope to grow the business. The upper floors also offer excellent potential for the development of letting accommodation for visitors and tourists, subject to the necessary permissions, making this a particularly attractive proposition for prospective purchasers."
The freehold interest is being offered at the guide price of £600,000.
